Great router at a great price!!
Will it do Atheros XR (extended range mode)??
:-)
You probably knew I'd ask that.

isn't this thesame as the 29$ MR3201A from https://www.open-mesh.com/store/product ... 252dRouter but with Robin 'meshing' firmware instead of gargoyle firmware?
(also has 32mb of RAM)

Reset Button Not Working?

Post by uncle john »

The reset button doesn't appear to work.
This is essential for resetting the password to "password" in the event the custom password is forgotten.
Are there any plans to support reset button function?

That's a very good point.

I've been shying away from doing too much that's hardware specific (like the reset button), but given that I'm selling this specific hardware it makes a lot of sense to implement it for this model.

Thanks for the suggestion.

or a Gargoyle-Flasher where you can do a full firmware flash...or only the configuration partition (which holds the password)..in the latter all will be "default" again?

skynetbbs: I think it would be really annoying to have to reconfigure the router all over again just because you forgot the password.
I think configuration files would be best handled separately as described here: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 3584#p3584

yes would be a nice feature ...
i didn't know you couldn't backup/restore your gargoyle settings?

basicly this means doing a tar czvf of /etc/config/... prior to the flash?
right?

Any idea when we can expect to see the reset button supported?
