Wireless not connecting after upgrade WR1043ND

I have a TP-link WR1043ND v1 that I recently upgraded to 1.6.1. I was previously using 1.5.11 with no problems (no resets, reboots, etc. for more than 100 days). Since upgrading to 1.6.1, I am unable to connect to the wireless without first performing a reboot of the router. If I let my laptop go to sleep, I have to again perform a reboot before it can connect to the wireless. The signal is broadcasting (I can see the ssid in my available networks), but I get a "timeout error" if I try to force connect to the wireless network. The upgrade seems to have gone smoothly otherwise, with wired connections and all other features operating as expected.

I'll downgrade back to 1.5.11 if I need to, but would rather get 1.6.1 working if possible. Thoughts? Advice?

I have the same issue.
There is no possibility to work with it.
I downgraded to 1.6.0 - so far everything works again.

For the time I've reverted back to 1.5.11 and wireless is back to being rock-solid. Maybe I will try out 1.6.0 because people are reporting success with that version.

Either way, I won't be upgrading to the most recent version until I see confirmation on the forums that the issue has been resolved, as there are obviously a number of people suffering from the same problem.

Same problem here.
Finally the OpenVPN is working flawless but in exchange the WLAN is disconnecting clients every day.

I hope downgrading to 1.6.0 will solve WLAN and maintain Ovpn.

edit: People should be carefull with OVPN on 1.6.0 und older. Heartbleed bug is not fixed there.
