Wireless Bridge with TP-link WA901ND

Post by whoisterencelee »

The TP-LINK WA901ND has only one lan port. I would like to setup the following:

SomeAP <--wireless--> WA901ND <--lan--> computer
All within the same subnet

I am able to set this up with device configured as Wireless Bridge/Repeater, but I want to disable repeater as I don't really need to connect other wireless devices to the WA901ND, I think disabling the repeater will help make the channel more clean for the SomeAP <-> WA901ND connection?

But when I disable repeater the router seems to crash and doesn't connect to SomeAP....? Any ideas

Also, I cannot get dhcp working in this configuration?

Same here with TL 1043nd V1in repeater mode. Perhaps a Problem with the AP?
I changed the AP from TP Link WRD4300 Original Firmware to Fritzbox 7390 becaus my new Provider for VDSL50 forces me to do that. With TP Link AP DHCP works, with Fritzbox does not.
But I have changed the Firmware of TP LINK repeater at the same time so don't know
what is the Problem.

Same problem here, the client gets an IP assigned, but the repeater (gargoyle) doesn't tell it what it is. Did you solve it?
