What router would be recommended that has 802.11N WiFi support, with good range? 2.4 and 5GHz would be good and 450Mbps on both bands would be excellent. 802.11ac support would be a bonus.

Gargoyle is based on OpenWRT underneath the GUI
You need to find a fully OpenWRT supported router that works
with the Backfire OpenWRT release (Not Trunk releases) in order
to have Gargoyle support it.
I think the WNDR3700's are your best bet right now for Gargoyle
support and close to what you are looking for
Remember - 5GHZ band has 1/2 the range that 2.4GHZ has
So if you can get good 2.4GHZ signal in your area at max 100 feet,
you are looking at good 5GHZ signal in your area at max 50-ish feet.
