Website white/black-list seen at screenshot

Post by blueice_haller »

Hello,
how to setup the list with domains that is on the screenshot area? I thought it works out of the box.
Yes I know the screenshots are from older release 1.1.8
BLOCK FORBIDDEN WEBSITES or block everything except a white-list of allowed addresses

Solution: I have to remove the checkmark of All Network Access

But I was wondering why the rules doesn't work.
And I cannot find the entries like option not_url_domain_contains which are created in /etc/config/firewall in the documentation http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/firewall

I can't get this feature to work either

I've ended up just using OpenDNS to block sites

I must correct my statement: The rules work but only for http not for https.
So ispyisail my question is: can you instead allow a list of domains with OpenDNS?
The users in the network have to ask me to allow sites. And that nobody is able to bypass the Gargoyle/OpenWrt device is important, too.
