So I tried out Gargoyle 1.5.0, and it worked okay. I decided I wanted to upgrade to the latest version, so I made a backup of my settings in the standard tar.gz.
So I flashed to 1.5.10, and it worked fine. Until I decided to restore my settings. Now I can't access the router at all. I don't get a DHCP IP from it, and setting a static IP doesn't work either. The reset button on my WNDR3700v2 doesn't work, but it never worked on Gargoyle; I would flash to a new firmware, set a password, and then try a 30-30-30 reset, but my password and all my settings would still be there. Gargoyle seems to completely ignore the reset button.
So I tried to get the router into TFTP mode, by holding the reset on bootup. The LEDs indicate it is in TFTP mode, and with a static IP, I am able to ping 192.168.1.1, but TFTP doesn't work anymore; it says it can't get a response from the router.
What do I do?!
Help! "Restore settings" bricked my WNDR3700v2!

nevermind, TFTP wasn't working because I was trying to flash a sysupgrade.img, not a factory.img.
