Quotas & connected hosts not working

Post by nikhilnh »

Hi,
Since the last few days, I have been having a strange problem with gargoyle web ui. When I click on the connected hosts under status, for some wireless hosts gargoyle doesn't display the IP address ( its displayed as unknown) and also the the bandwidth distribution doesn't work.

I guess because of these problems the quota limits which were working earlier no longer works. Any tips to resolve these problems are appreciated.

Without an IP address the host is not really connected. I would check on the client computer and try to determine why it is not getting an IP address. Something wrong with its DHCP settings.

Anyway its not accessing your network without an IP address.

I'm facing the same problem and in addition to unknown IP, my device can not access internet too.
Images are attached describing device details and my settings (I'm using Gargoyle in Wireless Bridge mode).

The device is Nexus 4 and a valid IP 192.168.1.101 is assigned to it by main ADSL Router (TL-8961ND).

P.S:
Problem aside, am I the only one who is seeing half forum? (Right half is plain blue).
