Time Restriction not blocking all traffic

I am using Gargoyle 1.5.9 on a TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1. I have a time restriction on a range of 5 devices which stops all network access using static IP's bound to mac address.
I have noticed these devices, a win 7 laptop, an ipod touch and an android phone(all wifi) still generate small amounts of traffic in restricted times. The ipod touch does constant activity but the volumes are very low.
Is there something more I need to do to cut all network activity to these devices?
Wire shark analysis shows the offending traffic mainly from apple games and other apple sites, also google video sites, using ports such as 55375.
