D-Link DIR-825 New Version No Good?

I have just obtained a DIR-825 and I see that it is Hardware Ver C1.

OpenWRT site says that B1 & B2 hardware is Atheros AR7161 but C1 is Atheros AR9344. Seems to me that the AR71xx firmware will be no good for the new 825's......... :(

Pity, it has more RAM and flash, seems like a good platform. Unfortunately the learning curve is too steep for me to consider a port.

Cheers

Harry

Yeah, have looked and Atheros 93xx is not on the platforms list.

So, something to watch out for - there seems to be B2 and C1 stock available her is Oz. Looks like Bx will work on current OpenWRT but C1 will not.

DIR-825 rev C1 is now supported in OpenWrt trunk as is DIR-835 which is the same hardware with an upgrade to 3x3 on the 5 GHz band. Any chance of getting Gargoyle support?
