WR1043ND Can't update DDNS 1.5.4

Hi there. I have WR1043ND and Grgoyle 1.5.4
Im using 2 services Dyndns and Zoneedit.

When i added my services for the first time, gargoyle updated my ip successfully just one time. But after 24 hours when my ip is changed by my isp, nothing happens.

Gargoye ddns hangs,and Gargoyle doesn't update my IP
When i restart modem and i remove and add my services one more time, It works the same way: gargoyle updates ddns, then hangs.

I can't even Force update because it hangs when showing "Please Wait While Settings Are Applied" message. And nothing happens.

My settings are: (15min check interval, 1 day force update)

Please help me to fix this issue, because i can't get required uptime on my domains.

If you login to the router with ssh, and then run "logread", what is the output? The ddns client should be logging output to the system log every time it does a check (every 15min).

there are no information about checking ip every 15 minutes.It seems that ddns plugin freezes. My log: pastebin.com/1GyDtThn

Hmm.. that's really weird.

I wonder if it froze or crashed. If you run "ps" after sshing in do you see ddns_gargoyle in the output?

Also, what happens if on the command line you run "/etc/init.d/ddns_gargoyle restart" If it seems to run ok, what does the log show immediately afterward? How about 20 minutes afterwards, after it should check for an update for the first time?

there are:

When i've tried to run /etc/init.d/ddns_gargoyle restart i get:


ERROR: Daemon is already running, cannot start a new daemon.

I can't even stop the ddns service. Nothing happens when itype Stop.
I couldn't start or restart service cause of "Daemon is already running"error
I'm sure that something in ddns service is freezed. maybe because of zoneedit?
When im using just dyndns everything is ok.
Im think that link for updating zoneedit in this script is rather ok. Cause it works when update once. After first update zoneedit it seems that script freezes (as i said in first post)

Sorry for taking some time to get back to you.. things have been crazy for me lately. I discovered two issues: (1) There was a potential bug that could casue problems with removing the pid_file when shutting down the ddns daemon, which I've fixed, and (2) The zoneedit update url changed slightly, with the zones variable replaced with host variable, which I've also fixed.

The code has been updated in the repository and will be included in the next release.

I have same issue!
Te ddns did not work with 1.5.2, i upgrade to 1.5.4, but it not work yet!

Can i upgrade from repository the new ipk? It's important for me that it work!

The fix that Eric refers to is in the Gargoyle repository although there has not yet been released a built image that contains that fix.

There is no 'ipk' that anyone can send you but if you will build Gargoyle from the repo you will get an image that contains the fix.

If you do not want to build Gargoyle yourself then you might PM user ispyisail. He has a history of making intermediate builds for people. He often posts links to them in the "show/tell/contribute" section. Maybe he will make you a new one. You need on built after 3/24/2012.
