bitorrent client with webgui (non-transmission)

Post by luddite »

Hi all,

I am attempting to have my Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH which is running the latest gargoyle 1.5.3 to be the primary torrent downloader.

It has a 2TB usb disk attached to it and i would like to download torrents to that.

I have attempted to get transmission running (which it does) however its slow and uses up all the CPU and brings the network to a crawl.

I have installed ctorrent and rtorrent but am failing to get their web-gui's working.

ctorrents ctcs (after installing perl https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=9550 ) it still failed to run. Old how-to though.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I would suggest you might have more luck with openwrt

Thanks for the reply - I thought gargoyle was openwrt?

Im using the opkg system which is the same as the one that openwrt uses... or so I thought.

Whats the difference?

Same base but different GUI.

Most command line packages work with gargoyle but packages with a GUI components usually have problems
