Hello board. I was just wondering if it is possible to install Gargoyle onto a TL-WR740N V4. According to this page, it appears as though the V4 only has 2MB of flash, does that mean it wont be possible to install Gargoyle?
More information about the openwrt status for the V4 is here.

Openwrt will never work on a router with only 2mb of flash memory. Gargoyle is a web interface for Openwrt. You need to determine if your router has 2mb or 4mb of flash memory. What does the sticker on the bottom of the router say? The only way to do this with some of the V4 models is to supposedly open up the router and read the part number of the flash memory chip. There are supposedly v4, v4.1v, v4.2, and v4.3 models floating around.

Re: TP-Link TL-WR740N V4
you need a bit of luck!Note: Sometime around August 2011 (v4), TP-Link began to use 16MB RAM / 2MB flash for the Chinese versions of many of their devices. International versions retain the 32MB RAM / 4MB flash.
Re: TP-Link TL-WR740N V4
Its a V4.2, so has the 4MB of flash which is a good thing. Is there any way of getting Gargoyle on to the router?
Re: TP-Link TL-WR740N V4
I guess the question you should be asking is, is it possible to install Gargoyle as a set of packages using the latest OpenWrt trunk kernel (not the Backfire kernel)? I can't answer this. Maybe Eric or someone else can.
Though, the OpenWrt trunk firmware you want to install for your router is here:
http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/ ... actory.bin
