It depends on the operating system, but at least for Windows and MacOS X I would recommend FileZilla: http://filezilla-project.org

Total Commander for Windows:) I use it for soo many years now, and it never fail me. It remind good norton commander 5.0 for DOS times:D

FileZilla has become the defacto standard for Windows.

Yes, I have been used it since the first early beta releases, and have been very happy with it ever since :mrgreen:
