Hi Eric,

Thanks for responding! Yes, wireless client mode is what is broken for me on two different routers. I reported it here ----->>>>>>

http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 6606#p6606

before on version 1.3.15. That was the first time I saw it and it was on a RSPro. I've tried several firmwares since then and it was broken on all of them.

The network I'm connecting to is a Mixed G network using WEP (10 character HEX). The behavior is that the Gargoyle router simply won't connect. If you need me to try it and capture something, please tell me how and I'll be happy to do so.

Upon going back to 1.3.14 it immediately connects in wireless client mode and is stable.

Thanks again, Eric, for some really great firmware!

Depends what hardware version of the WR741ND you have

The older hardware versions seem to be more stable than newer.

I have been testing 1.4.1 on 3 foneras and i have been haveing problems on them after 1~2 day of uptime.(I don't setup schedule reboot to see the stability).

The Webif stops responding along with ssh.

The memory used on this devices is around 86~92 % .

Or they run out of memory or the web and ssh services stop working correctly.

The network works normally i just loose access to them.

EDIT: after a while the device did a reboot by it self.
Best practice is to have a daily reboot scheduled

Eric, I found PacketProtector, which also based on OpenWrt, supports USB on WL500G.

It may inappropriate for us to discuss this here. Maybe you can reply on us here. Thanks!

Hello

I just want to report that on every gargole firmware, even new one 1.4.1 I unable to connect WIFI print server - linksys WPSM54G. On Status window i see that it's constantly trying to connect to router (tryed wrt160nl and tp link 1043nd) but it's getting kick all the time. On regular firmware I have no problems.

I can also report an oddity with 1.4.1 which does not happen on 1.4.0

I am using an WNDR3700 v1, in 1.4.1 if i try to change the DCHP range or lease time in Connection > DHCP, it does not take the settings, the Please wait dialogue persists, when I go back to the page, the settings have not been put into place.

I am new to Gargoyle, but I have noticed this with 1.4.0 and 1.4.1 (perhaps all), the WAN led shows amber instead of green meaning it is no longer connected at gigabit. Is there any way to fix this?
