wrt-400n successful

Post by lceron80 »

hello everyone, new to gargoyle but liking it very much. coming from dd-wrt for years. i have successfully installed on my wrt400n the latest rc. the only issue i am having which is a really big one for my router. i cannot detect my 5 ghz network. i am using a intel card 5300 in edubuntu latest. i searched posts but there hasn't been anything since may 2011. is there anyone out there with this device with success in the 5 ghz side? is this a known issue?

also the wireless led does not light up...

Sounds like you already saw this page?

----------------

For testing, you may want to disable the first radio and only try
to configure the 2nd radio - to do your 5GHZ troubleshooting.

Once you can start to see the 5GHZ mode, then re-enable the
first radio @ 2.4GHZ and see how both radio signals interact.

For 5GHZ, I think you HAVE to be in 40 mhz mode, WPA2-AES only.
