What are you trying to achieve by doing so?
This information may help someone give you specific instructions.

Its an outbound connection, so I would not have thought so.

What does your network look like? The fastest test would be to plug directly into the modem to eliminate Gargoyle.

If you want to disable the firewall, the easiest method is to set the connection mode to disabled in the Connection->Basic screen.

extremely unlikely to the the gargoyle firewall (nothing is blocked outward)

Could be the firewall build into your PC

If you dont have a modem, where does your internet come from?
What I'm saying is you should remove Gargoyle from the equation entirely to find out if it really is causing you the issue. Bypass it, remove it, whatever needs to happen.

If the issue is only when Gargoyle is involved, then we can diagnose from there.

Unless you describe your network topology, and how you currently have Gargoyle configured, all people can do is guess.

It also might help to list what troubleshooting steps you have tried.

That is not standard...
Can you show me a screenshot of the status page please?

If this is a custom build from your ISP, youre barking up the wrong tree entirely.
