Hi - I would appreciate advice please.
Linksys WRT1900ACSv2. Current Gargoyle Version 1.10.0
Trying to upgrade to Version 1.12.0.
I used this upgrade file: gargoyle_1.12.0-mvebu-cortexa9-linksys-wrt1900acv2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
I did NOT tick the Attempt to Preserve Settings box - I am ready to do my settings again from scratch.
Connected to my router by ethernet.
The upgrade appears to start. Wifi and ethernet connections closed. Ethernet lights flashing on the front of the router. Nothing more happens, even after 10 minutes. Switching the router on and off - no connection, just the flashing ethernet lights. The only way to get a connection back to the router is to hold in the reset button while turning on the power - and that eventually restores to Version 1.10.0 with my old settings.
Any suggestions on how to upgrade - or what I am doing wrong - would be welcome, please!

Unless this is a typo, it looks like you're using the wrong file.

wrt1900acv2 != wrt1900acs

The wrt1900acs v1 and v2 use the same firmware iamge.

Which says that for the 1900ACSv2 to use the wrt1900acv2 file.
But maybe that page is incorrect / out of date.

Yes - a little Google on Openwrt found this link: https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/linksys/ ... 1900acs_v1
which confirms that I should use the wrt1900acs file (for both v1 and v2). I'll give that a go tomorrow.
But might be a good idea to fix that Wiki page

wrt1900acs file worked fine. I'm now on Gargoyle 1.12.0.

Also many thanks for Gargoyle and its updates - and all the work you do for that - it's a truly valuable system.
