Hello
I'm interested to install this gargoyle firmware on my router wrt1900acs v2, currently i am running a firmware compiled from source OpenWrt Kernel Version 4.14.26.
Internet Conection PPPoE IPv4 and IPv6 dual stack, connection speed 1Gbps, you think gargoyle can support these conditions, what are his performances on wrt1900ACS v2?
Thx

1. I don’t think you’ll get 1gbps. Maybe 500mbps with Gargoyles features + PPPoE. I’d be interested to know.
2. Gargoyle does not support IPv6

Going from LEDE to Gargoyle you will need to use the command line to force the sysupgrade (do not preserve settings).
Going back to LEDE you should be able to use the GUI (do not preserve settings).

Hello again,
@Lantis, it is possible to switch to gargoyle firmware from the original Linksys firmware wrt1900ACS (AC v.2) and if it is possible to return to the original Linksys firmware, directly from the GUI gargoyle firmware?

Yes you can go from stock to Gargoyle easily.
But:
WRT1900ACS
WRT1900ACSv2
WRT1900ACv2
Are all different versions. Please make sure you understand exactly which router you have and use the correct file. It looks like you’re mixing names here.
ACS v1 and v2 share a common file.
Going back should be relatively straight forward, although I’ve never done it. There is a high chance it would need to be done via the command line in order to force it through.
You can consult the Openwrt wiki for further details.

'll post a picture of the information about my router model that i own.
I know it's about wrt1900acs v2, right?

Right now i run the Openwrt software but a version compiled by Daniel Petre called SuperWrt.
I also want to see this alternative software, from Gargoyle, how to behave on this router...

If you are on Windows, you will need WinScp to copy the linksys firmware to the / tmp directory of your WRT1900ACS
Open Winscp, click on new website and then enter the ip of the router, enter the option SCP enter user and password of the router and of enter or click on login.
On the right side navigate to the tmp folder, then on the left side navigate to where you saved the firmware and copy into the tmp folder.
After the transfer, close the Winsp, and open putty.
In the Putty type root@192.168.1.1 and then you will be prompted for the router password enter the password and enter.
Done this, select the directory in Putty with the command cd /tmp.
And then run the command sysupgrade -n -F (your firmware.any) where you are between relatives enter the full name of the firmware with extension.
Then enter and the router will start to update and then reboot already with linksys firmware.
I can use this procedure to get to Gargoyle from Openwrt?
I ask because you told me about the command line to force the sysupgrade.I do not know what you mean, you can explain the steps i need to follow in detail....
To be honest i'm not an expert in using openwrt, that's why i'm looking for a software alternative for this router
Thank you

According to that label, it’s a WRT1900ACv2
NOT a WRT1900ACSv2 (note the missing “S”).
Those instructions will work to get to Gargoyle. Just please check you get the right version. I won’t be able to help you if you get this wrong.

I understand that from what appears in the image on the back to the router you say it is a wrt1900ac v2?
http://s.go.ro/j8crmvln
https://www.linksys.com/us/support-arti ... Num=141117
But above, in picture appears to be wrt1900acs v2!
I have an ACSv2, the reason it says ACv2 for the FCC ID, is the ACv2 and ACS are pretty much the same thing (If I remember, the ACS has either a faster processor or more memory, meaning they didn't have to apply for another FCC ID)
