Hi guys,
After work I just went to the store and picked a router that LOOKED like the Archer C7 AC1750 on your officially compatible list and I thought "This is new and close enough, should do the trick"
But I can't find confirmation on whether I can install Gargoyle on my router.
I have done firmware flash from the official company before, but this will be my first time doing a open-source flash. I picked Gargoyle because from what I read, it has good user friendliness, just what I am looking for. My goal is simple: I just want good security.
TP-Link website does NOT show anywhere how much RAM and Flash memory my product has, so I found that info on a 3rd party site
My Archer C59 AC1350 has Atheros QCA9561 processor, 16 MB flash and 128 MB ram. I have the version 1 released on 2016-11-02. It seems like good specs for Gargoyle.
So is my device compatible with Gargoyle? If so, which firmware should I use?
Also, there is NO firmware upgrade on the official Canadian site of TP-LINK for Archer C59 V1, but there IS a firmware upgrade for Archer C59 V1 on the EUROPEAN official site. Anyway, I'm not installing any official firmware since it says CA on a sticker of my router box.
Is my TP-Link artcher C59 AC1350 v1 compatible with Gargoyle?
