Wakeup not working (1.3.9 on TP-Link WR1043ND)

Post by chillr »

Hi there,

I have just yesterday installed gargoyle_1.3.9-ar71xx-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin on a TP-Link WR1043ND. So far everything works great apart from the WOL wakeup function from Connection>DHCP management page.

The wakeup button is there and when clicked a message box appears that says 'Wakeup request sent' but my HTPC computer fails to wake up.

I normaly wake up this computer using a program called 'WOL- Magic Packet Sender' and it works fine with the following settings:
HOST NAME: 10.10.10.20
SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0
MAC ADDRESS: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX
PROTOCOL: UDP
PORT: 9

The 'WOL - Magic Packet Sender' program has a receive mode that can be used to test if the packets are being received, this has indicated that nothing is being received when the wakeup request has been sent via Gargoyle.

The router and computer are on the same network, the routers address is 10.10.10.33 / 255.255.255.0

Any idea's anyone?

There was a problem in the build so WoL is not functioning correctly in v1.3.9.

Eric has corrected this in the GIT so it should work in the next release.

If you want you can pull and build yourself to see.
