Thx for the reply. Hmm, no im not seeing it, I just went thru all the pages with chrome, ie and ff just to be sure and it doesn't show. I dont know where its supposed to be at but I dont see how I could have missed it as I went thru all the pages I could see. Hmm. If the USB options are on a seperate page, do you have the address of that page, maybe it could work if I try to access it manually.

SVoyager: It's under the System nav menu (System/USB Storage). If your router's IP is 192.168.1.1 the url is: http://192.168.1.1/usb_storage.sh

When I get my DIR-825 in a week or so I'll see if I can figure out what is going on.

Tried it and I get sent back to the overview page. Will see what you can find out once you get the actual router.

Thx 4 the help!! (btw, you got a donate button somewhere on your site? *hint* ;-) )

There is an old donation page not currently linked from anywhere at: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/donate.php

All donations are very welcome!

I was able to recover via Serial Console

Wiped the flash and re-loaded 1.3.9

Working great - I suspect somehow the configuration got corrupted.

This router, along with Windows 7 - makes it absolutely HORRIBLE
to re-load via TFTP - it's almost impossible.

This would definitely be a GREAT candidate for enabling the
reset button to reset the configuration, when you have a chance!

Let me know if you need me to test this out.

Hi,

I'm still getting the issue with empty Bandwidth graphs on WRT54G 1.5 =(.

If I try and download bandwidth data, I get a text file with the following line repeated:

Code: Select all

ERROR: Bandwidth query failed, make sure rule with specified id exists, and that you are performing only one query at a time.
See http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 782&p=4747

Eric - you mentioned before that you might have tracked down this bug - any update? *looks hopeful*.

Cheers,
Victor

victorhooi: I'm rather puzzled as to why you're still having this problem. I found a bug for ar71xx routers before releasing 1.3.8, but everything has worked for broadcom routers on all tests pbix and I have run. Until I figure out a reliable way to replicate the issue it's going to be impossible to fix.

With my old fonera 2.0g I seem to have the same problem as SVoyager for USB Storage.

I can't see the link from the menu and if I click on the direct link you posted I get redirected to the overview page. Can this router be added to the list of routers having an usb port in the next release?

Thank you very much. :)

I think it's a kind of bug:

Website filtering doesn't work on my WRT54G; I have around 30 keywords to deny access to porno/youtube for some of my home network PC and it's not working.

Also there's no scrolling bar in the window when there's many keywords.

P.S. due to that - downgraded to 1.2.5 - works SUPER fine. Huge stability&functions. Will recommend to anyone.

Thanks for any reply

Boydon: USB support is currently only implemented for AR71XX routers. That's why you're not seeing it.

vinikon: There is a known issue that was introduced in 1.3.9 that prevents access restrictions from working unless you reboot. It's already been fixed in the source repository for the next release, but until then you should be able to fix the problem by just rebooting. Also, keep in mind that you can't use the web block feature to block sites being accessed by https (encryption prevents this from being technically possible).
