hello everyone,

is there a way where I can install the black.list and white.list on the usb?
after I updated the blocklists, I tried to turn on the "Hide ads" after saving it the "Hide Ads" won't save.. :(

I also tried editing the adblock file inside the /etc/config/adblock , but it says insufficient space.

Thanks

BTW I'm using a WDR4300 and Gargoyle v1.8.0

the black.list and white.list sizes are typically very small. the one you probably want to move is block.hosts.

its not impossible but it would be a bit tedious.
you need to edit any references to it in /usr/lib/gargoyle/runadblock.sh

off the top of my head the lines that need changing are.
line 63, 104, 128, 150 and 152.
i dont know the performance implications of relocating the file.
if you find that it works well for you i might add it as an option in an upcoming version.

@Sir Lantis,

Hello.. I edited lines " 63, 104, 128, 150 and 152", and used "/tmp/usb_mount/efa28135-01/block.hosts" and it is working perfectly now:)

After installation
Memory Usage:13.6MB / 28.2MB (48.2%)
Do I have space for it ?

You have 28MB of RAM in your router. The adblock plugin requires FLASH space. What model is your router?
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

there really should be some warning that there is not enough space?

Good suggestion I'll look into that.

There already is an indication of free space available at:
Gargoyle - System - Plugins - Plugin Options - Plugin Root

And each uninstalled plugin states a "Required Disk Space"

However, I discovered early in my Gargoyle experience that unwelcome space related behaviours manifest when you approach but do not exceed these stated values.
