Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
Successfully flashed my TP-Link WR1043ND V1.1 with it's default firmware TL-WR1043ND_V1_120210 by following this guide http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... l-wr1043nd. Didn't bother with flashing an older (german) firmware like the guy a few posts above me, had no problems.
Had to rename the image file to gargoyle.bin else I the default TP-Link firmware wouldn't accept the file as a firmware.
Had lag spikes in Dota2 with the default firmware, those are all gone now. After messing with the settings a bit, I also have the same great up- and downloading speeds as I had with the default firmware so I'm very impressed about Gargoyle. Also really like the different charts for the bandwith usage.
One thing that was a surprise was that wifi was disabled by default. Did the flashing over wifi and no access point came up after flashing so got scared a bit there. Connected with a cable and enabled wifi and all was well.
(edit: sorry just read the opening post, the tp-link as already mentioned on the wiki as being supported)

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
I flashed Gargoyle 1.5.9 onto a TP-Link WDR3600 v1.1 from stock firmware (which saw all of 3 minutes of uptime). I shortened the filename before flashing. So far, so good.

I've just installed 1.5.9 on a TP-Link TL-WDR4300 V1.2 H/W. Works very well thus far. Connection speed seems to be better than the stock firmware!

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
I bought 2 routers :
*Netgear WNDR3800. Instructions I followed to flash : http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1893182
*TP-Link TL-WR1043ND v1.10. Instructions to flash : http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... =60#p16048
Gargoyle 1.5.9
The two routers are working great, though I'm not using the wireless at the moment (only wired).
Beware that taking the backup from one device to another could brick it. See : http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... f=8&t=3733

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
hello!
i've succesfully installed Gargoyle 1.5.9 on my router TP-LINK WR740N V4.2.
But, from time to time, my router is rebooting! Same thing with DD-WRT firmware! Bun not with original firmware!
Any idea?
I'm using it as a Wireless Client or Client+AP! In both modes is rebooting from time to time! I guess when is losing signal from access point!
Please excuse my bad english! I\m from Romania!

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
Hi,
installed ok via web interface UBNT (AIRrouter) stock fw=XM-v5.3.5.build11245
and the flash with (gargoyle_1.5.9-ar71xx-generic-ubnt-airrouter-squashfs-factory.bin)
easy and smooth but(usb support) didn't work out of the box on this build at least for me.
big thanks for this great fw...
