Router Firmware Requests

Re: Router Firmware Requests
Should be fine. It's similar to the other EA models that were asked for in the previous post. The only thing that concerns me is you seem to need 3 files to flash each device. I'm unfamiliar with this so I'm just a bit wary on generating the images.
I'll give them all a go soon.

Re: Router Firmware Requests
Hi there mate due to the slow CPU i dont think Gargoyle will run verry well for this router. I had a wrt54g overclocked to 333 MHZ and it was frustratingly slow and crashed a lot.dlogictech wrote:Router Model: Linksys WRV54G

As of r47458 the E4200v2 and EA4500 are completely supported. These boards are identified by the codename "Viper."
Build with:
Target System → "Marvell Kirkwood"
Target Profile → "Generic" or "Linksys E4200v2 / EA4500 (Viper)"
Target Images → squashfs
This will produce the images:
openwrt-kirkwood-linksys-viper-squashfs-factory.bin
openwrt-kirkwood-linksys-viper-squashfs-sysupgrade.tar
The factory.bin image can be flashed from the Linksys interface. Upgrading between OpenWrt images is done with the sysupgrade.tar image. If firmware installation fails on linksys firmware, try renaming the file to .img extension.
There seems to be a wifi driver bug.

I appreciate the comment, but this router is currently gathering dust on my shelf as it is and I really would like to make use of it.
I ask for a Gargoyle build so I can have another router to play around with and provide feedback.
If you guys are willing to build it I will provide valuable feedback.
At the very least we all will know how it performs.
