I have tried changing the custom MTU to 1492. Same problem. I have also tried 1500, the default value on the stock firmware, since it is the same device. Nothing is helping. Including unticking Drop Ping From WAN Side.

I would like to ask them, but my uni admins are just plain lazy and knowing them, they will just give a dumb answer as in "since using stock firmware doesn't have this issue, obviously it is the 3rd party firmware that you are using. And if your stock firmware is having wifi disconnection issues, just go and get a new router." This is definitely the answer I will get
. But I will ask them for the sake of it.
I will try to ask the IT students, but I don't think there is much that they can do since gargoyle, dd-wrt and openwrt are all giving me the same problem except the stock firmware and most of them are on semester break.
