You can still access equipment through a firewall/subnet, you just can't browse host names through windows machines.
Can you draw a basic network diagram?
I suspect with some configuration changes you can get it to work.
This is not a gargoyle problem but rather a networking design issue.

Its not clear what is wireless and what is wired?
why do you need 5Ghz wireless instead of 2.4?
