Re: Creating another AP via second router
On Router 2 - you need to manually add DNS servers
For DNS1 use 192.168.1.1 (main router)
DNS2 use 208.67.222.222 or 8.8.8.8 or whatever you want
Add multiple DNS - I usually have 3 or 4 configured.

Re: Creating another AP via second router
Last thing you can check is this.
One one of the clients on the 2nd router
Set a static IP of 192.168.2.10 or whatever (below the DHCP range)
Set gateway of 192.168.2.1
Set DNS of some public DNS servers
See how the device pings and browses internet sites
If it works fine like that, somewhere the DHCP settings are not right.

No change. Something is definitely getting through occasionally. Uggh... this shouldn't go so wrong :X
Re: Creating another AP via second router
based on this post I'm still not confident that you have set-up your subnet correctly?I changed Router2's LAN to 192.168.2.1, its WAN to 192.168.1.2 and added 192.168.1.1 to the top of its DNS server list. Otherwise the settings are just as in the above pic (plus Router1's DMZ=192.168.1.2).
Can you show use screen shots of both routers DHCP settings
e.g.

Ok - those settings look good.
Now on your main router - do you have the DMZ set
to 192.168.1.2 ?

Yeah, that's what the DMZ is set to.
That DNS entry was suggested earlier in the thread and made no difference, it didn't work before or after.
I'll find time to install some other firmware and see if that works... I'm not sure if I should be blaming gargoyle, my settings or the router itself at this point.

Re: Creating another AP via second router
It is very unlikely that it is a firmware problem.
We can work trough the problem with you if you like but leaving it days between posts is a bit long.
