OpenWrt is not to blame for the wifi driver. Marvell is. It is closed source, what do you want them to do?

Re: WRT32X 1.12 Wifi 2.4 GHZ
2x you have a version of the router for sale in EU countries and 1x you have a version of the router for sale in US countries.
Newer models are hard-coded for the market for which the router is made - it is essential for Linksys to comply with standards and regulations.

Re: WRT32X 1.12 Wifi 2.4 GHZ
so there is no way i can change it to US?
If i want to revert to stock firmware, just flash or?
This device is only needed for wifi and lan.
DHCP is done by gargoyle WRT32X.
As it works without encryption i suspect it is all about country code. In wireless config it says "DE" but in real it is "FR"

Re: WRT32X 1.12 Wifi 2.4 GHZ
Yes, that's what I'm saying. The country code "FR" has been designated as the international code for Europe and is hard-coded in the WiFi chip firmware.cobra98 wrote:As it works without encryption i suspect it is all about country code. In wireless config it says "DE" but in real it is "FR"

Re: WRT32X 1.12 Wifi 2.4 GHZ
okay works now if i put option wmm '0'
config wifi-device 'radio1'
option type 'mac80211'
option channel '11'
option hwmode '11g'
option path 'soc/soc:pcie/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0/0000:02:00.0'
option country 'DE'
option htmode 'HT20'
option wmm '0'
config wifi-iface 'ap_g'
option device 'radio1'
option mode 'ap'
option network 'lan'
option disassoc_low_ack '0'
option ssid '********'
option encryption 'psk2'
option key '********'
option wmm '0'
hope there will be soon other options to this.
And Country Code DE seems to be ignored.
(FR is set, other country code not able to set)

Set it to FR and don't change it.
mwlwifi is 99% never going to be improved.

Re: WRT32X 1.12 Wifi 2.4 GHZ
so take another router for wifi?
i set it to wmm off but Netatmo Weather Station seems not to work, it does not find DNS like that.
Smart LEDs work, Alexa also could not connect to 2.4 GHZ without WMM.
Strange issue, as without encryption it works.
What router should i take? Which already is best supported and best wifi range? (2.4 and 5ghz)
If possible no hardware coded country setting, so i can travel with it too

Re: WRT32X 1.12 Wifi 2.4 GHZ
Also it seems i can not deactivate DHCP Server on 1.12 image.
Already did sysupgrade now without preserve settings.
After reboot it is set again.
