Need a help installing Gargoyle on a WD n750

Also should i switch to open-wrt considering there are plenty more tutorials out there? The only thing i have to worry about is bricking my router right? Another thing, why did gargoyle hang on the updating screen when i tried to update from 1.8.1 to 1.9.2?

All openwrt tutorials are largely applicable to Gargoyle as long as you want to do things with the command line.

And if i don't know how to do them from the command line? All i really want to do is create my own router vpn. And also you didn't answer my question on why when i try to update it hangs on the screen?

If the update was successful then it doesn't matter why it stayed there.
If the flash takes longer than a certain amount of time the script to reload the page times out.
