1. it reset my settings to defaults
2. i noticed more memory being used from around 22% to 27%
1. The upgrade script of Gargoyle erases the configuration automaticly, when you try to upgrade (the router even tells you, when you upgrade).
If you make this change, will you not loose the settings you have entered on the website (except the devicename): http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... f=7&t=2042
But always remember to make a backup of your settings.
2. If it is 1.5.2 that you are trying, could it be Tor... You can try to disable it in the Connection submenu.
thanks for the sysupgrade info on the defaulting(did not know that). i don't have Tor enabled so maybe it is some new features that are taking up space in the memory. Tor takes up way more memory in my 3700. i have enabled it in the previous build just for testing but disabled it because of the memory hogging. anyway thanks for the great firmware and responses to my comments. this gets better and better with every release...
I've upgraded WR1043ND v1.8 from 1.4.1 to 1.5.2 without problems. Router is up & running like a charm. I wonder where are to options to enable swap & tor? I haven't found them in the web GUI..?? Before upgrade I've made "Reset to default configuration" using GUI.
I have two Ext4 partitions (one for swap) on external USB drive. I've enabled 128MB swap file using CLI on partition sda1:
After that a new text "Virtual memory" is displayed in GUI status page. But when the router reboots swap partition is no longer enabled - I have to enable it with "swapon" command.
