New Pocket Router, bad ethernet port?
Just received my pocket router yesterday and trying to configure it. However I can't connect through the Ethernet Port. I have tried several cables and different computers. Only the power light goes on. I have tried resetting the router by holding down the reset button but no luck. Could I have a bad Ethernet port?
Re: New Pocket Router, bad ethernet port?
Could be I suppose. Here are some other things to try.
Set manually set your computer IP to 192.168.1.1 and turn off your Wifi. Then see if you can connect. The Ethernet light will only flash on and off when there is actually Ethernet traffic getting to the router. Try ping as well to make the light flash.
Load the FonFlash utility (from the download page) and attempt to flash v1.2.5 on the router. Can FonFlash see it? If it flashes correctly try again to access the router.

Thanks for your help...
I was able to flash the router by running fon flash and flashing the firmware. However the key point to keep in mind that you need to power on the router after you have started flashing the firmware.
