wndr3700 USB feature

I recentry upgraded from the netgear login page to gargoyle 1.3.16. Since then the USB is not working. I had an external drive configured but it isnt seem to work. The gargoyle router login page does not have the functionality either. Can someone please direct me as to how i can resolve these issues. Thanks.
