I'm currently running 1.3.16 on a Netgear WNDR3700 and notice that 1.4 is now stable.
I had a poke around and can't see anything so thought I would ask.
I have grabbed the relevant sysupgrade.bin, I have also backed up the current config but wanted to check before I go any further.
1. Can I just upgrade or do I need the full img between versions?
2. Can I simply upload my current config to a this new version?
3. Will I loose all the current historical data? Is there anyway around this?

Re: Upgrading Firmware
1) Yes - you should be able to upgrade with the sysupgradeThe_Hawk wrote:I'm currently running 1.3.16 on a Netgear WNDR3700 and notice that 1.4 is now stable.

The only difference between sysupgrade/factory firmwares is the
factory ones usually have additional bytes to allow the firmware
to be flashed to a stock-firmware router.
2) More than likely Yes, but SAVE your config just in case.
I usually configure from scratch when I upgrade (simple config here)
but you should be able to upgrade and reload your old config.
3) You should not lose any data as long as you save your config file.
The config file is a tar'd and gzip'd file of all the config files from
your router, so you could always WinSCP the data back on, reboot,
and you'll have all your data back.
