Channel 12-13 with dir-300

Hello, I have the Gargoyle in my dir-300 in client mode,
but I could not connect to internet ..
I entered from the console "iwlist ath0 channel"
and the result is: channels 1-11

please help with solution

Er... that's a bug I keep meaning to fix, but seem to keep forgetting about. Thanks for reminding me.

Atheros wireless devices only support channels 1-11, while broadcom devices support 12&13. The Dir-300 is an atheros device, so trying to use 12 or 13 may cause problems. 1-11 should work fine.

I've been meaning to make the channels options available driver-specific for a while, but as I said, I keep forgetting. I'll make sure to fix this in the next day or two.

It's the bleeding edge firmware listed in the download section. While I only make official releases every few months, I update the "bleeding-edge" firmware there a lot more frequently so users can try out the latest features I'm working on.

Hi Eric, I upgraded my dir-300 with gargoyle_bleeding_edge-atheros-root.squashfs,
gargoyle_bleeding_edge-atheros-vmlinux.lzma ...
I have configured in client mode and I only have channels 1-11 available .. please, how can I activate the channels 12 and 13.

You can't. Atheros chips don't support those channels.

As noted above the bug was that the interface was allowing users to select those channels when using a device that does not support them. This has now been corrected. Using a DIR-30 only channels 1-11 are supported.
