DLNA

Post by eugene28 »

Hi. I have installed latest Gargoyle firmware onto my WNDR3700 router. I successfully added external usb drive as cifs+nfs share, but I can not see how can I enable drive as upnp media server. Is there any options I should put to enable it?

DLNA does not come as part of Gargoyle / OpenWRT by default.

Did you add the package yourself?

Check that forum for some help.

Thanks for your help. No I did not install anything. So as I understand I can install any additional packages available for OpenWRT. The only problem I will not be able to configure it through Gargoyle shell. Only by configuring using telnet/ssh sessions. Right?

Correct - if you download your own packages, you have to configure
them via the command line. Unless you feel up to creating your
own web pages to add to the Gargoyle GUI.

Can you point me to a guide for downloading and installing packages.

Hi

Can you please help me with the USB stuff. I recently downloaded the gargoyle_1.3.16-ar71xx-wndr3700-squashfs-factory-NA and since then my usb is disabled. I could go to the gargoyle router login page but there are no options to enable USB. Is this the latest version that i should have which has the USB option. Please help. Thanks so much.
