Hi,
since few versions back, Gargoyle has become unstable on Asus WL-500-gP V2. During operation it suddenly stops resolving names, and I can't login to the router (nor using web browser nor SSH), pinging any IP (LAN or WAN) works fine. This happens when the computer is configured to receive the address from DHCP reservations. If right after that I manually configure the computer's interface I can log in to the router, browse the web, it's back to normal. When trying to switch to DHCP it's a no go.
When connecting the computer with manually configured static IP it didn't happen yet.
Eric, could you please make a comment on that?

Try flashing back to 1.3.9 and see if your router becomes stable.
If so, then save your working config, and try to load 1.3.13 again.
Or even try 1.3.10, either version should work.
If instability re-appears, it may be the new changes that have
occurred in 1.3.10 and higher.
Eric cannot test every single router, so he does rely on testing
and feedback from people - please try the above and report back.

I'll try that. The problems appeared with switching from v1.3.9. If the problem still occurs on the 1.3.10 and higher, is there any chance it'll be fixed or is it impossible?DoesItMatter wrote:If instability re-appears, it may be the new changes that have occurred in 1.3.10 and higher.

Asus WL-500-gP V2 works great on v1.3.9. Starting from version 1.3.10, Gargoyle bricks the router.
