Re: Adblock Plugin
I see that it works on some pages. can it work on youtube?
Re: Adblock Plugin
adblock blocks these domains:
https://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt
https://adaway.org/hosts.txt
but youtube doesn't block it.

Re: Adblock Plugin
What do they tell me about adguard can it be installed to block YouTube ads?
Re: Adblock Plugin
You can try adblock package from OpenWrt, but you really need a lot of RAM and manual configuration for this package.

Re: Adblock Plugin
You can't block YouTube ads using router based adblocking. Use a browser based solution.

Re: Adblock Plugin
Today I try to use over 30K blocklist, the file after downloaded is over 800KB but a funny thing is my free storage before installing adblock plugin is just 400KB.
So, what I'm curious about is how the free storage is calculated ?
How come my limited storage can handle doubled size file and still have 172KB free ??? so strange.

Oh I also try to change the script to use dnsmasq instead of hosts. It perform good. It now block all child/subdomain of blocked list, saves much trouble. (with hosts file it only block the listed domain but not it's child/subdomain). However is there any disadvantage of using dnsmasq instead of hosts file??

Re: Adblock Plugin
I installed Adblock plugin on my V1.12.0 WRT3200 but it's not working. It appears that the block list isn't updated.
What's the fix? Do I have to install V1.13?
If I do this is there a way to re-install my static IP table? I have about 70 devices and don't want to re-enter by hand.
I'm very much a newb so updating scripts isn't something I currently know how to do...
Thanks!

Trouble is I don't know how/ where to update this. I would happily take a brief tutorial if you're willing.
My last programming was with Fortran ~25+ years ago in college

I'm using a Mac if that makes any difference in how to update the files.
