Failover USB

Post by nerdjuice »

So I am in a very rural area, my only option for internet is a hotspot. I have two options for hotspots

1- Unlimited - Goes out often
2- pay per gig - Pretty consistent but expensive

My router has 2 USB ports. (TP Link AC1750)

I have tested plugging one hot spot into the first usb port, and I get internet, and plugged into second usb and I get internet. But I am not sure how to plug both in and configure it to fail over to second one until 1st comes back up.

Any help is appreciated

It's not really supported in the GUI of Gargoyle.
You probably want to use a package like "mwan3", but the configuration may cause issues with Gargoyle.
