It's becomes unstable without any aditional advanced features enabled sans QoS, just basic setup like wireless and DHCP, time format and router name
Yesterday I've tested upload with Google Drive and looks like it works without any glitches. Traffic is accounted right, no upload errors, Speedtest CLI reports right speed for upload direction.
Quota usage goes crazy when QoS is enabled.

Re: Quota usage goes crazy when QoS is enabled.
There is too many variables in these tests.
You need to use a proper tool and isolate the client to indeed verify if there is a problem.
Downloading "10MB" from the internet is not really "10MB" due to other traffic overheads, redirects etc etc.
I'm willing to run my own tests to verify this, but it would be great if someone else did.

I do understand that 10mB file is not equal to 10mB of accounted traffic but difference sometimes is almost 10 times more:Lantis wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 5:53 amThere is too many variables in these tests.

It's a screenshot of same connection listed in "Connection list" and in wget session
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HBqIbf ... 9bXsDvZmmD
5.9mB download in wget equals 50.2mB in Gargoyle, download speed should be something around 300kB/s since it was limited with Total banwidth to 2400kbps but it's actually around 50kB/s, available bandwidth was tested with same download(QoS off) and equals to 700kB/s.
If QoS is off everything is accounted right. Uploads are accounted right even with QoS enabled, I've also tested that with torrent client with single upload active, speed in torrent client was equal to preset in Gargoyle's upload QoS and I didn't noticed any errors with accounting of outgoing traffic.
I definetly could run some tests with some guidance from you guys

Here's your same test repeated 3 times with correct results.
Perhaps you are experiencing some other issue (dropped connection causing re-send/retry?) leading to much higher received volume (and such low goodput).

Re: Quota usage goes crazy when QoS is enabled.
But that "received" extra data isn't reflected in ISP's statistics. Whole topic started when I've decided to test QoS as remedy for problems with 3G modem and have set 3GB quota for night time(I had leftover around 1.7GB from monthly ISP's quota) and those 3GB was used completely judging by Gargoyle quota usage data but it has translated to something like 200-300mb in ISP's statistics and same amount of data loaded by torrent client.Lantis wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 8:22 amhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1hIoADP ... sp=sharing

Re: Quota usage goes crazy when QoS is enabled.
Random thought: could you please test it again with total download bandwidth in QoS set to 1200kbps and 2400 kbps?Lantis wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 8:22 amhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1hIoADP ... sp=sharing

Re: Quota usage goes crazy when QoS is enabled.
at 2400kbps, the received value was more like 8.133MB.
This is likely due to packet dropping to forcibly slow down the sender.
Still, this is not the many orders of magnitude out that you're experiencing.
I don't think the issue lies with Gargoyle?

Anyway, thank you for trying!
