I used the router as wireless bridge, which also used 5 Ghz, so it should work.
However in AP mode the 2,4 WLAN works fine but I can't find the 5 with any devices, even after waiting a minute.

Re: No 5 Ghz WLAN on Archer C7V5, 1.12.0
I've reseted the router to the default settings and then tried some different channels:
36 works
52 DFS Channel doesn't work (waited 3+ mins)
100 DFS Channel doesn't work (waited 3+ mins)
116 working DFS Channel
132 working DFS Channel
149 works
There are already other WLANs on channel 52 and 100. But it should work nonetheless, shouldn't it?

Probably a problem in WiFi drivers ?
(https://forum.openwrt.org/t/does-wifi-5 ... uild/55251).
You can try the v1.13.x beta from @Lantis viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12467 - then let me know if it helped.
EDIT: I've always had a problem with DFS channels (and I'm far from radars). I sacrificed power and set up channel 36 and I haven't had a problem since.
