I was looking at the download screen and have no idea which file I need to get. How do I go about flashing this router with Gargoyle?
What's the last version that Gargoyle still support with tiny build?

You can try it from a Polish colleague:
If you have D-Link firmware: http://dl.eko.one.pl/gargoyle-pl/attitu ... actory.bin
If you already have Gargoyle or OpenWrt: http://dl.eko.one.pl/gargoyle-pl/attitu ... pgrade.bin
It's at your own risk.
P.S. 4MB Flash? we can classify this as a museum piece ...

If you want the latest firmware that supports all features it was 1.5.11. The Polish build above has some features missing, like uPnP and wireless modes other than regular router. Otherwise good, though.CaptainPlanet wrote:I was looking at the download screen and have no idea which file I need to get. How do I go about flashing this router with Gargoyle?

Links below, for some reason they're not listed in the download section even though they're still hosted. This router has less than 4Mb because it has emergency recovery.

I still have one running as a bridge after all these years. Rock solid.
QoS Tip: Don't complicate your QoS settings. Gargoyle evenly splits available bandwidth between active devices as needed. Just delete all your classification rules and leave only one normal service class and you're done. No more arguing over bandwidth.

I tried the guide method using the recovery menu and none of the browsers could even upload the file. It just spins infinitely and never actually upload anything.
IT'S 2019! It's not like I could just get my hands on a Windows XP machine and use Internet Explorer 6.
Eventually someone mentioned they were able to flash Openwrt using the normal web interface.

The last stable openwrt firmware for dir 601 was 17.1.1 from 2017 while the gargoyle was 1.5.11 from 2014, and 1.6.22 from 2016. Although I would like to enjoy a user-friendly interface like Gargoyle, the slightly more recent security patches will be better in the long run, so I went with that.
