Router firmware update needs .chk file format
To update my router firmware it tells me I need a .chk file, but the update file is a .trx. What do I do?
Re: Router firmware update needs .chk file format
What router do you have?
What version are you on?
What version are you trying to go to?

I have the Netgear WNDR3400v3.Lantis wrote:What router do you have?

The router is still on stock firmware. I'm trying to use the update option in the router's GUI to switch to Gargoyle. But it tells me I need a .chk file.

Unlikely Gargoyle will ever support this routerComments: While it is possible to load OpenWrt there is no support for wireless, USB not currently supported; USB fixed in master 5dd745588ed

That's unfortunate. I was hoping to use Gargoyle to set quotas by MAC address. If you don't mind me asking, do you know of any other possible solutions?ispyisail wrote:https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/netgear/ ... ndr3400_v3
