Do I just sysupgrade from LEDE 17.01.4? Can I return to LEDE with sysupgrade?

You will probably need to sysupgrade from the command line and use to "-f" (force) parameter to go to Gargoyle.
Do not preserve settings (use "-n").

To go back to LEDE yes you can just sysupgrade from the GUI.

Great! I had the command typed and ready figuring the web GUI would not work but then I tried it, without keep settings, and it worked fine. I am in Gargoyle. Thanks for the help.
