Asus N16 issues

Post by Infected-Mushroom »

Hey guys, last night I tried to install gargoyle on my new Asus N16 but I still cant get it to work. First I tried flashing via the asus utility but that got stuck on 33% before losing wireless connectivity. I then tried many times using tftp but nothing would work. I then tried to use Open WRT. I had the same issue. The firmware would flash correctly but then I couldnt access the router page after power cycling after 5 mins.

This morning I tried to install DD WRT. First the mini firmware then the big version. This worked fine and I was able to access the DD WRT page. I tried to update from DD WRT to Gargoyle within DD WRT router page using the trx file but this didnt work either.

Has anyone else had issues like this? Any tips on how I can get gargoyle working? Cheers.

Asus RT-N16 is listed in the OpenWRT wiki as "possible, but not being worked on". You might want to take a look here:

to see if there's anything that helps you...
