OK, so it's up and running on TP-Link firmware,

Firmware Version:
3.14.3 Build 150427 Rel.36706n

Hardware Version:
Archer C7 v2 00000000

Does this mean i can just flash the 1.9.1 from Gargoyle site or do I still need to flash dd-wrt then 1.9.X

This is confusing as there is no way to tell whether it is eu version or international.

Sorry to be a pain and really appreciate your help. It's just that this is for a NFP and I have coughed up out of my own pocket at the moment. So if I brick it, it's mine :(

try this image first

if not, then do DDWRT first, and then that image.

I will use these links tonight to load Gargoyle.

Can I ask does this then commit me to any future updates needing to come from lede and not the standard Gargoyle site?

Thank you to all here.

I loaded 1.9.X from lede link and it just worked.

So relieved after reading all the issues. Like Peter in another thread, I got lucky with older gear and without the restrictions.

Thanks again
