Use WAN port for LAN

Post by crazydoc »

Hello!

I am sure this questions was already asked. But the search rejects "wan port for lan" because the words are too common :( .

I use my WRT54GL as an access point to my wired LAN. I´d like to use the WAN port of the router as it was a LAN port. How to do this?

thx

http://wiki.openwrt.org/oldwiki/openwrt ... figuration

Check that page for info

What you are searching for is the phrase:

Assign WAN port to Switch

Wan to Lan will turn up WAY too many search results.

In "Connection->Basic->Internet/WAN" set the "Connect Via" either as DHCP or Static IP depending on your requirements.

Mine is set to DHCP (Wired) since the device it is connected to will provide it with an IP.
