TOR exitnodes

Post by geoborne »

Hi

Has anyone been able to set up a country specific exit node in the Gargoyle TOR plugin?

I'm using a TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2 on version 1.8.1 of Gargoyle with the plugin root set to a USB thumb drive.

I've tried editing etc/tor/torrc in both the root and plugin_root via SSH with same settings I'm using in TOR Browser, but TOR on Gargoyle just stops working when I do this.

Is this an unofficial build?

Does this definitely fix Tor and would it be torrc in the root or the plugin_root that I need to edit?

Also, I thought 1.9.0 was experimental, not sure if I want to risk it or wait for the next stable release.

Hi i dont use tor and yes 1.9 is experimental, but it is more stable than 1.8.1 and there has bin fixes to the tor plugin.
I don't know if it will fix your bugs but it's worth a try. I run 1.9 experimental on all my devices and it's rock steady.

If you update you must not save settings or you will have a brick.
