TP-Link 741nd V1 serial console hang

Post by subh2812 »

My TP-Link 741nd V1 bricked during firmware upgrade.

So I have tried serial console for unbrick the router.

The serial pin on PCB of router found dead. SO I have connected the TX RX GND as on this image
http://s19.postimg.org/tnah7qg8j/tl_wr741n.jpg.

The serial pin connected via CA-42 data cable and using putty/v Hyperterminal / Herculies.

I got the following display--

I suggest you go to the openwrt forums and post the same question.
It is a very well worded and detailed question, but unfortunately not many users on this forum are experienced with serial.
I feel you will get a faster and more comprehensive response there.
