V1.9.0(exp) on 1043ND V1.8 Wifi at 150M only

Post by 1043_941_841ND »

hi all,

Just wonder had anyone try the new V1.9.0 onto a tp-link V1-1043ND? I tried all the version up to V1.9.0, I notice V1.9.0 is very stable and do not need to restart or reboot at all even after months of usage but the wifi speed can never excess 150Mbps(70-140) since I installed it? I switch back to 1.6.0 and able to do 270-300Mps without much of wifi drop out issue even after weeks. I need to restart the router each month just to make it more reliable on the 1.6.0 and 1.9.0 seemed better in my case.

All the setting are the same with all the versions I tried and I notice the antenna output power on the V1.9.0 is lower than V1.6.0??

If anyone has experience on this or input please drop me a line, thank you.

Can you tell me what your old transmit power was, and what the new one is?
Can you also tell me which country you are from?

Finally, can you show me your wireless config?
Make sure to remove any sensitive information such as passwords.
You can find this by typing "cat /etc/config/wireless" at a command prompt.

hi Lantis,

Thanks for the quick response, Im from Canada and I can answer half of the questions for now and I will need to figure out how to retrieve the wireless config file? Is this file part of the backup config file? I do not know much about linux but I will do my best to get you the info. Could you tell me the steps on getting it?

The V1.6.0 has 27dBm and V1.9.0 has 24dBm I believe, I use max power for both versions. I am using the V1.6.0 at this point. Thanks again.

I'll send you a PM regarding wireless regulatory standards.

Cheers.

As for why you're only seeing 150 instead of 300mbps. I would hazard a guess that your 40mhz setting isn't actually being used due to congestion as discussed in this thread here;

If you need anything clarified let me know.

I got the file and will try to get it ready asap. I believe you probably right on the target for my situation, and I believe we better do this in pm.

Thanks
