Hi there open the webinterface go to system then Backup / Restore and Restore Default Configuration.[/quote]
Hi Tapper,
I tried that more than once this router and the TP-Link.
It doesnt seem to work with any firmware apart from the official one i dont know why.
I am so desperate to clear the NVRAM as it always refreshes the router.
Any ideas?
Or a way to reboot router into recovery mode VIA CLI?
Thank you.

The other way to do it is to boot in to Failsafe.
https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/generic.failsafe
Then do a firstboot
special commands:
firstboot reset settings to factory defaults
mount_root mount root-partition with config files
after mount_root:
passwd change root's password
/etc/config directory with config files
Openwrt offers a generic failsafe mode, which can be launched during a few seconds early in the boot process. With WNDR3700 the correct moment is when the power LED changes from steady orange to blinking green. If you at that moment press any button (WPS, Wifi or reset) during the next two seconds, you enter the failsafe mode, in which you can access the console with telnet. Successful entrance to the failsafe mode is indicated by a rapidly blinking power LED.
WNDR3700 provides the failsafe waiting moment indication messages both to the serial console and to the network, just like described in the failsafe mode article.

i was able to reboot the device previously to failsafe before according to the LED however, the telnet connect was refused, that is why i was asking if there is a way of soft reboot into recovery so that i can clear that damned NVRAM T_T
i cannot even save anything from GUI anymore.
could it be because this is a nand?

Hi you guys are really working hard keep it up for good work i like to share my experine it might help you guys
Tp link archer c7 5 ghz performance is slow network will transfer is really slow then stock firmware.
For ip bandwith we cant see all ips at same page same time we have to select one by one. Please make it like we can see all bandwith of all ips not by selecting one by one.
Iptv is most comman feature in routers now. Its not working in gargoyle. Thanks. Sorry for my bad english.

No mate dont think so. Did you set a static IP on your PC wen you tryed to telnet to the router? If not that's were you went rong. In safe moad there is no DHCP server running on the router so the computer will not no what IP to use so falls back to using a 69.xx IP.dieselz wrote:i was able to reboot the device previously to failsafe before according to the LED however, the telnet connect was refused, that is why i was asking if there is a way of soft reboot into recovery so that i can clear that damned NVRAM T_T

Did you try and make a torrent uncompressed?
Re: gargoyle-ispy 2016-January-25 18:46.torrent
Does this mean we can download just the version for our router instead every file? If so, how do we do this?deanMKD wrote:Tested this build on my TP-Link MR3020 and WR703N and works great without issues for more then 6 days !!
